Welcome to the Quinn church of Christ. We are a group of people who have given our loyalty to Jesus and who have agreed to work and worship together. This is a brief introduction about who we want to be. And, we would like to explain why we have made those commitments. We are not perfect. We have flaws, sometimes in our goals and sometimes in our dedication. But, as a group and as individuals, we want to do better and do more. While this introduction does not address everything we believe, we hope that it provides a clear introduction to our efforts. Of course, if we are in error regarding one of the things we believe, teach, or practice, we want to make corrections. In all things, we want to excel even more. Please investigate our goals, observe our lives, and ask us questions.
Please know that we can only speak for our local group. There are lots of churches of Christ, including in this area. With some we share a lot in common and with some we share less. But, we are independent of all of them in our organization, though we hope to share with them in our commitment to Christ and our love for one another. We are not part of a denomination called the “Church of Christ.” We hope that the description we have chosen for this congregation, “church of Christ,” simply reflects that we are a church, a congregation, of people who belong to and are devoted to Christ. We hope that your time spent with us will show you that our commitment to Christ is not just on our sign, but in every aspect of our lives.
These lessons linked below are simply intended to be an introduction to our group. They are not an infallible or unchangeable guide to what is true. In reality, they are a reflection of our best understanding of God’s word as of now. There is also a lot more that we could say about these topics and other subjects that are important to us. If you have some question, either about the clarity or truth of what this booklet says or what you see or hear in our assembly, we want to address it. We want to be as clear and as faithful in our teaching as we can be.
Again, welcome to Quinn.
